    senior Pastor

I grew up a preacher's kid and felt a call to ministry at the age of 16. However, after graduating high-school, I decided that I would follow my own path and join the Marine Corps. While in the Marines, God used my disobedience for His honor and glory. After serving 8 years in the Marine Infantry and doing three tours in Iraq and two tours in Afghanistan, I decided to surrender to the call of ministry in November 2012. I attended North Greenville University and earned a bachelor's degree in Christian Ministry; then I attended Seminary at New Orleans Baptist Theological where I obtained a Master of Divinity in Expository Preaching.

In November 2019 I married my wife Megan, my best-friend and partner in ministry. In July 2021 we moved here to Lagrange in order to serve at New Hope Baptist. We both have a strong desire to see people come to Christ, and our passion is to make disciples here in Lagrange and beyond who Love God, Love People, and Serve Others.

    discipleship pastor

I was born and raised in Lagrange, and I spent my childhood attending New Hope Baptist Church. I attended college in Carrollton at the University of West Georgia, where I studied mathematics with a concentration in secondary education. Following my graduation, I married my wife Hanna, and we have two young boys, Aidan and Kade.

I attended church my whole life, but it wasn’t until my 20s when I began to truly understand what a life following Christ looks like. I thought I was saved as a young child but didn’t really have a full understanding of what Christ had done for me or what Christ asked of me. I felt like the Christian life wasn’t totally fulfilling me, and I realized there was an absence of Christ in my life. I went through all the right motions, but it was all without Christ. But God, true to His promise of faithfulness, never gave up on me, and He has made known to me my true purpose in life - to bring honor and glory to His name!

After this transformation, I felt a calling to some sort of ministry. Without the educational qualifications, I wasn’t sure where that would be. I wanted to bring others along on the journey with me and help those who felt like I did about the religious life. Thankfully, God opened the door for me to student ministry.

My hope and prayer for the New Hope Student Ministry is that students will be equipped to face the challenges of this world and commit to making disciples in Lagrange and in all the nations. I want our students to understand God’s global purpose and the vital role we play in fulfilling the mission. We want to demonstrate Christ’s humility and love to the world.

  • TREY BRADLEY

    WORSHIP LEADER

I accepted Christ as my lord and savior at the age of 8. Throughout life, God has constantly directed my path and brought me to where I am today. Raised primarily in Troup county, I then lived abroad for a while. Moving back to the United States for college, God gave my life the call to lead his church in congregation worship. Seeking to follow that call, I pursued and obtained a degree in music from Truett McConnell. Later I took worship leader positions in the Atlanta area and married my wife, Ava.

As our family grew (with the addition of our two daughters) and life changed, we started seeking our next steps.

In the early spring of 22, Ava and I felt we should move back to LaGrange. We didn’t know what all God had planned, but we wanted to follow his lead. Little did we know He would place us in a beautiful church to serve just six-tenths of a mile from our home.

    student minister

I was born in Callahan Fl, where I lived until 2013 when I moved to Lagrange, Ga. I gave my life to Christ at a young age and have been involved in church my entire life. However, there was a time period, when I first moved to Lagrange, where I was not involved in church, and I was not walking in obedience with God.

In 2017 God used events in my life to draw me back towards Him, and I now seek to constantly walk in obedience with God. During this time, I began to attend New Hope Baptist Chruch and started to serve in the youth ministry. Over the next couple of years, I began to discern that God was calling me into ministry. As the student minister, I pray that God will speak through me as I faithfully bring his word to this new generation of students. I also pray that as a church body, we will continue to show God's love with those we come into contact with, and that we will boldly proclaim the Gospel both in Lagrange and to the ends of the earth.
